Isager Merilin 4 ply

Isager Merilin is a 4-ply yarn made from a blend of 80% wool and 20% linen. It works really well in textured patterns. It is a very soft yarn and can be used by those of you who are otherwise sensitive to wool.

The linen fibre of Isager Merilin sits smoothly over the wool and this gives a lovely melé effect to the yarn, as the linen does not absorb the wool dye. 

As with all Isager yarns, Isager Merilin combines beautifully with Isager silk mohair to create a DK weight. Here are some approximate gauges: 

Isager Merilin: 3 mm needles = 26 sts  / 32 rows
Isager Merilin + Alpaca 1: 3 mm needles = 24 sts/ 30 rows
Isager Merilin + Alpaca 2: 3.5 mm needles = 22 sts / 26 rows
Isager Merilin + Silk Mohair: 4 mm needles = 20 sts / 24 rows
