Filcolana is a Danish brand of high quality yarns that has been around since 1952, when it first opened and began spinning yarns. The company was owned by a few different families in the following decades, until it was bought by Nanna Gudmand-Høyer in 2009, who still owns and operates Filcolana to this day.
Filcolana sources its high quality wools from all over the world, looking for fantastic combinations of mohair from South Africa, and museling-free wool from around the globe, which are shipped to various spinning mills in Italy, England and Peru, where the wool is spun and then shipped back to the Filcolana warehouse in Kjellerup, in Central Denmark.
From there, the Filcolana yarn is shipped around the world to retailers like us, giving you that high quality yarn that you love. The gorgeous wools are perfect for all sorts of different projects, especially when you're looking to make something long lasting that can be enjoyed for years to come.
