This is a fantastic yarn! Ever since our road trip through Italy we have fallen in love with small, Italian-produced yarn. Gepard Woolia is such a yarn: spun from an old Italian breed from Puglia that grazes in organic orchards and olive groves. The sheep are raised by small farmers who sell direct to the mill, ensuring a fair price for fleeces.
This Gepard yarn is woolly but light, meaning you get an extra 30% on a 50g ball. The yarn does not pill and garments knitted in Gepard Woolia maintain their shape.
Gepard Woolia works on needles from 4.00 to 6.00mm, depending on the gauge needed for your project.
