Isager Earns RMS Certification

Danish yarn brand, Isager, has announced that as of Summer 2025, it has earned the Responsible Mohair Standard (RMS) certification for its Isager Silk Mohair product.

Awarded by Control Union, the RMS label is applied only to batches of products that have been produced after the certification has been awarded. This is why on our Isager Silk Mohair listing, you'll see some variants with the RMS in the name, which means these were produced after the certification was awarded. Batches without the RMS are from before certification, as the brand sells through the existing stock.

According to Control Union, the RMS verifies mohair animal welfare and land management requirements and tracks it from farm to final product. Isager state that they have chosen to pursue the certification to "contribute to a more transparent industry", ensuring that only products proven to be organic are claimed as such.

According to Isager, healthy animals produce the best fibers, which results in better products for us to use in our catalogue, and for you to use in your crafting.
