One Day Knitting Winter Knitting Retreat - Kuno's Cushions.

It has finally happened! The days are cooler and we can turn our minds back to all things woolly! The shop has been busy with new deliveries of yarn in new Autumn colours and fibres. 

One of those deliveries has been new goodies from Re:Designed, we have new models of bags and needle cases on display in the shop.

The Wool School is buzzing with students brushing up on existing skills and learning new ones. After the sellout success of our Indulgent Yarn Day in the summer, I am delighted to let you all know that we have scheduled a Winter One Day Knitting Retreat on November 14th. 

We will be working on the lovely Kuno's Cushion design by Anne Ventzel. These cushions have been on display in the shop and lots of you have asked for a cushion workshop - so here it is with lunch at Squisito!

Treat yourself to a relaxing day knitting with friends, a leisurely lunch at Squisito before the chaos that Christmas inevitably brings. The day includes coffee and home made shortbread, the pattern, yarn and pad needed to make the small rectangular cushion and a fabulous lunch!

The morning will be spent choosing yarn colours and casting on your cushion and getting to grips with the linen stitch used in the pattern.  After lunch, there will be time for more knitting, with the knitting tutors on hand to correct mistakes and make you are on track to finish your cushion. Once you have knitted one cushion you will be making them for all around the house and maybe as a gift for a special friend.
