Coastal Calm Crochet Workshops

Earlier this month we launched the Coastal Calm Blanket Crochet Kit as part of our collaborative project with Eleanora Tully (also known as @coastalcrochet on instagram). Eleanora designed the gorgeous granny-square style blanket using some unique blocks, and created the blanket using Filcolana yarns that we supplied in beautiful colours.

To celebrate the project, we're holding a special crochet day on March the 8th at Ida's House, with two unique crochet workshops to teach you how to create two of the blocks used in the Coastal Calm blanket pattern: The shell and the starfish!

The classes will be taught by Amanda MacMath, who also teaches all of our crochet workshops here in the store. Eleanora will also be here to provide tips, insights and to see your creations! Eleanora will also be bringing a number of her other blankets and creations for a trunk show - this is a great opportunity to meet Eleanora, see her designs in the flesh and learn how to follow her patterns.

There are two sessions: 

• Learn to Crochet a Shell Granny Square from 10.30 - 12.30, and 

• Learn to Crochet a Starfish Granny Square from 2.30 - 4.30

In order to join the crochet class, you will need to know how to chain, double and treble. As part of the costs for the class we include the full blanket pattern, and you can bring your own yarn scraps to practice your blocks, or purchase the Kit or individual filcolana peruvian highland wool colours from us while you're here.

Spaces in the crochet classes are strictly limited and we may not repeat these classes, so make sure you book your place now so you don't miss out! The classes will be held at Ida's House Farncombe House, 16 Market Street, Lewes, BN7 2NB
