Autumn has Arrived

Well that was one hell of a summer! As I write there is a cool breeze coming in through the windows meaning I am finally able to pick up the project that I lugged all the way to Spain and did not knit more than a row the whole time I was away.

We were not idle during the hot weather we have put together a packed timetable of knitting classes and workshops for you in our beautiful space to help you get your knit on! Put the kettle on, here is a list of the events with a more detailed description of what you can learn in September and October.

Learn to knit with Dani Sunshine
12th to 26th September 11.30 to 1.30
This is a two session course which will teach you all the basics of knitting whilst you are knitting a fingerless pair of mittens. Cast on, Knit & Purl, Rib, increase & Decrease and casting off. Needles and yarn are included in the cost of the course

Knit your first Sweater
Starts 26th September 2.30 to 4.30
This is the big one! We will teach you how to knit your very first sweater across 5 x 2 hour sessions. We have carefully curated a selection of patterns of patterns knitted in the round that you will be proud to wear this Winter. Note: Yarn and needles are not included in the cost of this course

Intarsia Workshop
19th September 10.30 to 13.30
Intarsia is having a definite moment! maybe I hear you cry but what is intarsia???  Intarsia is the ability to create larger shapes or pictures in the knitted fabric. If you loved my Bronco vest this is the workshop for you. Note the cost of this workshop does not include needles or yarn

Visible Mending
19th September 2.00 to 5.00pm.
Repair and embellish your precious knits with style and colour with Jane Eagle.


Learn to knit a fair isle hat in the round
3rd October
Easily our most popular workshop, we will teach you how to achieve perfect tension of stranded colour work whilst knitting in the round. You will be working on a fair-isle hat pattern.

Crochet Beginner Friendly with Amanda Macmath.
24th October.
And that dear reader is just September and October - we have lots of wonderful sessions lined up for November!
