A Huge Day At Ida's House: Indie Dyer and Author Visit!

We've got an exciting day planned for you on April 5th! This packed day will be held at our knit shop in Lewes, where we'll be hosting both Ishrat from Fruitful Fusion Yarn and Christine Boggis, Author and Editor of Knitting Magazine.

From 10am to 5pm on Sunday April 5th, 2025

For one day only, Ishrat is bringing a tempting selection of her indie hand-dyed yarns to Ida's House, giving you a chance to see her delightful, high quality and unique colourways of yarn in person. 

There will be a variety of oh so knitable bases dyed with jewel like colours. Fruitful Fusion does not come this far south so we are utterly delighted to have her with us for this special event. Come prepared to stock up on her gorgeous hand-dyed yarns for your next project, or be inspired by the stunning colourways and find a pattern and any required notions from our range. 

Ishrat will be here to answer your questions about the yarns, give advice on what types of projects they work best with, and hear your lovely thoughts, compliments and feedback about the yarns.

Christine Boggis Book Signing
From 2pm to 4pm April 5th 2025

That's not all: April 5th we will also be holding a book signing for Christine Boggis's latest book: Simply Knitted Socks. Christine will be signing copies of her book, and answering all of your knitted sock-related questions. 

You'll also be able to ask questions and sign up for the upcoming Toe Up Sock Knitting Course that is starting in June, and stock up on the required yarns and notions for the course - or for any sock knitting projects you have in mind!
